With over a decade of experience in nonprofit management, Sarah has worn many hats and honed a versatile skill set across fund development, grant writing, event planning, communications, succession planning, and strategic planning. Her expertise empowers nonprofits to fulfill their missions consistently, quarter after quarter. Holding a Master’s in Urban Planning and Public Administration from the University of Louisville, Sarah is deeply committed to equitable community development and excels in building strategic partnerships and narratives that drive impactful change.

In 2019, she founded her own consulting business, collaborating with nonprofits and providing grant writing services across sectors such as environmental, workforce development, arts and culture, and health and human services. Since then, Sarah has helped her clients secure over 6 million in grant funding. Her extensive experience spans corporate philanthropy, foundation giving, and state and federal grants, with a deep understanding of Louisville and Kentucky’s state-wide philanthropic landscape.

Ruthie is the owner of Vision Granted, LLC where she serves as a grant writer, project manager, facilitator, and bureaucracy navigator for organizations in Kentucky and Central Appalachia. She specializes in helping organizations new to grant writing gain resources and build their abilities to apply for small grants first and then build up to larger grants. Since the pandemic began, Ruthie has helped dozens of organizations of all sizes gain a total of over $30M in grant funding.
